I absolutely love getting to see Christian being a father; it's one of the things I've enjoyed most about having children. Seeing him give Maggie her bedtime bottle is just the sweetest. He cuddles her close and rests his mouth against her little peach-fuzz-covered head. He sings her songs -- "Rocket Man," "Hallelujah," "Hotel California," and "Yellow Submarine." I like to stay quiet and listen because it's so beautiful to me.

ReplyDeleteI have to admit seeing my "little" brother being a dad is pretty great. I know she'll grow up loving the old classics like I did because Dad would play the records for us and tell us all about the songs.

ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean. I knew Steve would be a good dad, but watching him do it is incredible.
ReplyDeleteThis just makes me smile all over! I used to try to imagine Christian as a daddy, and knew that he would be a sweet dad. He was VERY sweet to his little baby brothers, (although he might not admit that to them). It makes me so proud to be his mom.
